It is seriously dusty over here. Man.
Winter break is coming up at The Z, starting Monday, December 23. I hope to have a slot in the mornings.
(Well. "hope" and "morning" are not usually two words that go together for a nocturnal denizen of the garage like me, but you get the idea.)
In the meantime, a groovy guy over on YouTube has posted a Tangerine Amphetamine series of videos of songs played on past shows. I'm tickled.
Your weekly dose of Garage, Freakbeat, and Psychedelia, plus 60's Girl Pop and Northern Soul. Delivered in radio capsules from 90.3 WZBC-FM in Boston - and streaming from WZBC.org. You can find the archived show link in each post.

Like What, Me Worry?
So, no, man. No more Tangerine Amphetmine for the summer. Bummer.
Two weeks ago the station decided that all that garage wailing in the middle of the NCP block was not good.
I have expressed my regret and disappointment at how it took nine weeks to come to this conclusion. We were up and running with a full head of both steam and garage band trivia, assembling all these groovy shows. But such is the world of college radio occasionally.
One would think I now have more time to put up old shows. Hmm - I'll get on that, and we can keep rocking.
Thanks. We'll try again later, for sure.

Hello Summer!
One of the things I love about subbing on The Z is that my summer comes earlier than ever before. Here in New England, we hail Memorial Day weekend as the unofficial start of summer. People decamp down the Cape, down east to Maine and, in some cases, glare at the upcoming July 4th holiday like ti's the beginning of the end.
Me, I love starting summer radio in May. The trees have just bloomed, the sky is full of puffy clouds, and gosh-darn-it, I can shed my leather jacket.
Here's the first show, at a wholly new time zone. This summer, I'm on from 9-11pm, Wednesday nights. I hate to interrupt NCP, but believe me - drop your tab halfway into Molly's 7pm show and we'll be good to go by 9pm. Trust. I am your interim spirit animal.
Oh, and I had a wicked cold last week. You can hear it. Eeeuch.
Audio and playlist after the jump -
